Monitor historic bandwidth usage

Question

I am very new to SW and a bit overwhelmed.  I previously used Cacti and was easily able to create a page that showed bandwidth usage for various interfaces.  This would give me historical up to months (at a reduced granularity) and close to real time (5 minute intervals.  I am looking to set up something like that now, as we have started using VOIP and I want to set up some other monitors and make sure that I don't negatively affect the bandwidth.

So far the only thing I find that is close, only goes back a week at the most and shows EVERY interface on a firewall.  I can delete but it is tedious and I have to re-delete every time.  I have many different areas that I want to monitor, so I may end up with several pages; one for internet, one for internal wan, one for voip, one for VPN and so on.

I don't mind reading and watching videos, but I feel that most of the time I am learning other things and I don't seem to find the video that shows what I want to do.  Can someone point me to the right resources?  And or tell me what terminology I need to be searching for?

Can you point me towards training?  I looked at you link but it only gave a paragraph explanation of what perfstack does.  It did recomend checking out New Feature Training: Improved Troubleshooting Tools with NPM 12.2 and PerfStack, available at SolarWinds Academy.  But when I tried to search for New Feature Training: Improved Troubleshooting Tools with NPM 12.2 and PerfStack, or even just perfstack at SolarWinds Academy, I got nothing.

Many ways in which to solve this, but I would throw out there to start checking out PerfStack.  It allows you to add any metric across any entity on to a time series view, which you can then save and reference easily in the future.  We have default settings for storing data and when we do rollups, etc. in the Settings that you can review as well. Success Center (solarwinds.com) this is an article on PerfStack.
