I'm a new user from Nagios XI and am trying to figure out how to accomplish what I was doing in Nagios. In Nagios, I could set a different polling schedule for each and every object and could poll an individual oid on demand. As far as I can tell, NPM will only poll an entire device and all oid's at the same time when I click "Poll Now". Am I missing something?
Why is this important to me? I have a whole bunch of 450mhz radios that have a bandwidth of around 5-10kbps and mission critical data going across the link. NPM isn't mission critical, but if I can only poll the entire device, then it hogs what precious bandwidth I have for extra data that I don't need.
Also, when I do a manual poll, it doesn't reset the clock on the scheduled polls like I think it should (and like Nagios does). So, all of my devices are requesting updates at the same time, which causes my mission critical data to drop for a couple minutes while NPM gathers data.
