Update Startup Configs??

Question

We are doing an IP change and I was trying to do this via Cirrus. What I wanted to be able to do was download all of the startup configs in Cirrus, make the change (both IP and default-gateway), and then upload the new startup config on to the routers/switches. I can download the configs and make the changes just fine, but when I go to upload the changes I only get the option of basically writing to the running config. Is there any way to upload the whole config change as the new startup? Or is merging with the running config the only way it is done?

If you are using direct transfer for config uploads, the Cisco CLI does not allow for overwrite of the entire config via SSH or Telnet (only merge).

You'd need to use TFTP for transfering the config and check the box for writing to NVRAM after upload.  You'll need to be sure that you're uploading the entire config as merge is not possible via TFTP.
