I have an alert setup to monitor both of my polling engines and if one of them is going to go offline due to port exhaustion. It generates and alert to let us know to check the polling engine event logs for nodes that cannot communicate back to the polling engine. The odd behavior I found is when the polling engine looks like it is going to have port exhaustion issues I have two alerts that start flapping with false positives. I would like to disable the two false positive alerts when the polling engine alert goes off but not sure if I can do this or not.
So if Alert A goes off I would like it to mute Alert B and Alert C.
We have been down the port exhaustion route and fixed things BUT this issue likes to raise its head while I am vacation or when we have some of our older nodes do some dumb things.
Thanks,
Dave
