Solarwinds Orion SQL database deployment on SQL Failover Cluster ?

Hi People,

Can you please confirm if the Solarwinds SQL Database can be deployed under a shared 2 nodes SQL server cluster VM?

I have Failover Cluster (MSCS on Windows Server 2016) SQL Server 2017 Enterprise Edition – Always-On nodes as 2 nodes VM.

I wondered if SolarWinds can support this or against the SQL Database performance best practice.

Yes, both Windows Failover Cluster and Availability Groups are supported

what about the configuration and settings or tuning, since this DB will be running the shared SQL DB environment, I wonder if there are any specific settings to implement.

Some of them are mentioned on the page above. Some others Orion will tell you it'self in the "My Orion deployment/Deployment health" page.

But mostly it's normal procedures.
