OAUTH support for Solarwinds API

I am working on the below API
https://"hostip":17778/SolarWinds/InformationService/v3/Json/Query?

apart from basic auth is any other type of authentication supported?
If not, Are there any plans to support it in future?

PLEASE upvote this feature request. This is a known problem.

SolarWinds API should support OAUTH2 and Bearer Token, and not just basic auth. - Feature Requests - The Orion Platform - THWACK
