are there telephone alerts that can be configured for NPM
Hi @wahoytjr, if my understanding of your question is correct then I do not think there is a straight forward way to receive text/MMS alerts via Solarwinds Alerts. We have adapted the below method to receive text message to our on call phone which is a little long winded but works:Under the alert, we selected "Trigger Action" then added the "Send an Email/Page" feature. We then configured the alert message to send to an email address we utilise from textmagic.com. The service creates an original email address for your mobile number of choice and with their "Email to SMS Gateway" service, we can then convert any incoming emails to the address into a text alert to our on call phone via their website. Though there may be an easier way around it, this is the method we adapted and seems to work with all alerts as there is no clear option to send alerts via text/MMS. Hope this helps, cheers.
As long as your email vendor allows it many carriers support sending emails as SMS text. For example for Telus in Canada you would send the email to PhoneNumber@msg.telus.com. (5551234567@msg.telus.com).
