Upgrade to 2022.3 or 2022.4

I have two platforms:

Scenario 1: (Online Enviornment)

1 - App server and 1 DB server.

Modules: NPM, NCM, NTA, SAM, IPAM

Orion platform 2022.2.5

Internet is accessible on Orion Server.

I need steps to upgrade my Orion platform 2020.2.5 to 2022.3 or 2022.4. I saw few articles in thwack and solarwinds where it says while installation, it doesn't show the list of modules that are doing to get upgraded. Also, there are lots of changes in configuration wizard.

Scenario 2: (Offline Enviornment)

1 - App server, 1 HA and 2 DB servers (clustered).

Modules: NPM, NCM, NTA

Internet is NOT accessible on Orion Server.

Orion Platform 2022.2.6

Can someone please guide me the complete steps if anyone has a successful attempt on SolarWinds upgrade to 2022.3 or 2022.4 without any issues?

Need information / steps for both online and offline environment.

Hi.  2022.4 RC2 was just released in the customer portal.  I would recommend going with this version over 2022.3, as it will have improvements and fixes for installs, upgrades and features. 

Note that all products (modules, bundles and HCO) are all installed by the new platform and functionality is controlled via licensing.  So downloading the single ISO (2022.3 or 2022.4 RC2) will cover all your upgrade scenarios. 

Some recommendations:

• Read all the release notes and resource requirements. 
• Have a good backup of your servers and databases.  We've had thousands of upgrades of modules to the new the SolarWinds platform, most go smoothly, but sometimes you might need to revert. 
• The new platform removes and replaces the current SolarWinds directory, so if you've customized the files or folders there, make a backup of them so you put them back in easily. 
• Download the ISO and update your main server from that, then upgrade your other components from the web console like normal.  Other methods work as well, just my recommendation.  
• If you've installed evaluations of modules on your server in the past and then uninstalled them (esp NTA), you might encounter some upgrade issues, ping support for a cleanup tool.  See this for more info:  https://thwack.solarwinds.com/product-forums/the-orion-platform/f/forum/96554/orion-2022-3---configuration-wizard-error---invalid-column-name-nodeid 
• After upgrading, since all products are installed and activated via licensing, you'll see stopped services in the service manager for the products you don't own.... that's normal.  We are looking to improve the messaging in the future. More info:

• If you have issues, open a ticket immediately - support is there to help and can point you to fixes fast. 

Note:  If you want to wait a little longer, the 2022.4 GA version coming in a few weeks will have additional install and product fixes.
