SWQL Studio and Generated Properties

Hello Everyone,

I'm confused by the Generated Properties in SWQL Studio. I need to inventory Aruba thin access points and the table 'Orion Wireless Access Points Thin' appears to have what I need (see below.) But the fields are all Generated Properties and running the SELECT TOP 1000 SWQL query produces an error.

I guess my question is What are Generated Properties and is this information available for a Custom Query widget?

Do you mean when you right-click and "Generate Select Statement" ? If so, I also get an error there, but try the (with Inherited Properties) one, and I get data returned. I've noticed this with a few places in SWQL Studio and just sort of presume we either don't have data, or the generated query is wrong or can't return anything. - but pretty sure in all cases, when selecting the 2nd option I get results.

Hi, don't know where these fields come from but my experience is that you can use these fields like any other fields.
