Error creating Heat Map

I am trying to create my first Heat Map in Orion.
I have Aruba controllers and I can see the AP's and connected clients in NPM

But I get an error message when I try to save/preview it.

If I use any other Type of view, there are no errors. So it does not seem to be related to my permissions.

I only have 1 component as a resource "Map"

Any suggestions?

I believe I found the issue.
In the local poller library you must have "Wireless Heat Map" enabled and assigned to at least one node.
It is only supported by Cisco devices. Mine are Aruba so I am out of luck.

Based on the error, it seems you have created a view limitation either on your account or on the view itself that restricts you from viewing the wireless heatmap.

Also do note, that the heat maps are a "one and done".

In other words, they show what their impression of coverage is like at the point of creation - they are not living maps that will show a change in coverage if an AP (or several) are down.

To add to this, currently Cisco 9800 WLC are not supported by SolarWinds. Since just about all their other WLCs are EOL at this point...
