Need to monitor Linux Process though Perl script

Any one can suggest if I can monitor Linux process through Perl scripting

What exactly are you trying to monitor or accomplish?

Yes perl can do it as well as shell scripting but we need more info to better answer your question.

Hello JFrazier,

I want to be able to monitor Solaris Zones (no SNMP available) from Solarwinds... basically replicating what Oracle Solaris Analytics. Have you been able to do this?

My understanding is we can use Perl scripting to have the LDOMs monitor the Zones... so any available scripts will help a lot...
