Custom alert for UPS temperature triggering on values much lower than alert thresholds

Question

We have a custom alert for Eaton UPSs that checks the current temperature.  If the current temperature is above a certain value, the alert will send an email.  However the alert is triggering on temperatures much lower than the thresholds.

The alert is being triggered on temperatures that are lower than 12C.  I confirmed that the UPSs are using Celsius as the measurement metric.  Any thoughts why this alert is triggering?

I had a similar issue - turned out it was the conversion between temperature units- Fahrenheit to Celsius. Not sure if it applies here but might be worth a check?

Moving the DeviceType check under the upper level of the scope didn't make a difference.  The alert is still being triggered even though the values are way lower than the threshold.

The alert is being triggered on values as low as 9.

I have moved the DeviceType check under the upper level of the scope.  I will monitor over the next 2 weeks and let you know if I see any changes.
