Cisco ISR showing 98% Memory Used.

Two of our router is showing 98% and 76% memory utilization but when we login to the router to check we discover that the free memory space is still plenty. I would appreciate any help to resolve this from the community. The routers are Cisco 4331 ISR and Cisco 4221 Integrated Services Router respectively.

This is because an ISR is Linux based.

You will need to build a poller specifically for this. See my post here: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/product-forums/network-performance-monitor-npm/f/forum/94139/physical-memory-volumes-reporting-incorrectly-for-net-snmp-linux-nodes/298640#298640 that already explains this.

Having just looked I can see several pollers listed as for an ISR on THWACK.

I've just tried the one second from bottom against one of our ISR's and can report (after leaving it for a polling cycle or two to occur) that it works just fine.

Go to install, go to 'manage pollers' > click on the Thwack Community Pollers tab and then search for ISR. Put a tick in the box, select test and pick a suitable node for testing against. If the results come back as expected then import the poller and assign it to your other ISRs.

Alternatively, download it form here: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/content-exchange/network-performance-monitor/m/device-pollers/2379 and import and apply.

Finally, if in an air-gapped or otherwise secure environment you will need to recreate the poller your self.
