I have found out through firewall logs that Solarwinds is reaching out to 2 IPs on port tcp 8080 every 5 seconds. These IPs are not defined as nodes, but are on the same subnet. The network they are on is configured on a SW managed switch, so I removed that switch just to see if Solarwinds was trying to reach out to connected devices on that switch, but it still is polling even with that switch removed
I've searched in "manage nodes" and also looked at Database Manager -> NodeIPAddresses and do not see these 2 IP addresses listed. I'm now wondering what other IPs Solarwinds might be trying to connect to.
Is there a way to view all IPs that Solarwinds polls? Any other ideas on how to troubleshoot this?
I'm running Orion platform, NCM, NPM - 2020.02.4
