CISCO SDWAN MONITORING IN SOLARWINDS

Hi Folks,

Is Solarwinds capable of monitoring Cisco SDWAN ? If yes, Have anyone done SDWAN monitoring for cisco through Solarwinds?

which module of Orion is capable of doing the same in Solarwinds.is it NPM or any other?

Can anyone let me know any inputs over the above question.

Before I was working at SolarWinds, I was using NPM and some custom pollers to monitor SD-WAN devices through the network for the company I was with.

@the_ben_keen could you provide more clarity on the process of monitoring through npm and custom pollers it will be helpful

as i couldn't find any proper resource available to monitor the same through Solarwinds and its required as per business.

For SDWAN Cisco devices, you can use SNMPv3 and build OIDs. Depending on what you have, you can check the Cisco ACI option for setup as well. The link below might be helpful and it lists the contact info for SolarWinds guy that worked on the SDWAN project/setup.

thank you guys really appreciate your inputs also is there any out of the box method to monitor the CISCO SDWAN and alert over the same apart from custom pollers/ UNDP process.

Using NPM, have you added the node using SNMPv3 and see what it naturally polls? You should get something if you have SNMPv3 setup properly. It might not be what you need specifically, but you can experiment from there.
