"Tab Name" Not working in the Customize section

It appears I found a bug and need a developer to fix it.

The problem

When Adding a TAB to a page, and renaming it from say "Custom Tab 4" to a name that previously existed but was deleted.. fails to save.

For example: if I create a TAB name and call it "BLAH BLAH" update it, then decide to deleted it.

If I then recreate it with the same name (as I had a change of mind", It wont let me!! as it already stamps the database with the old name.

From what I gather SolarWinds is not removing the database Stamp for the original Name "BLAH BLAH" and preventing me from re-creating it again.

Without going into the back-end database and updating it there, which in fairness I shouldn't need to! is there a fix for this.

I don't have an answer, but out of interest is your attempt to re-create the tab almost immediately, or at least within the span of the same day?

I ask as I wonder if the DB maintenance which usually occurs daily in the wee hours would clear down the old entry - even though no longer visible to you, it is still sat in the DB until maint is completed. A way to test is to add/delete a tab today and then tomorrow try to re-add the same tab. If it works, then this is almost certainly a WAD.

If it still doesn't work then best bet is to raise a ticket with support.

Hi, yep that was my next port of call this morning , the indexing process starts at 2:15 OTB but when I tried re-creating this morning, it again failed. There's an obvious bug... I also tried tricking it by adding a blank space to the "Custom Tab", but that fails.
