I have several alerts for a specific process if it gets to high and also to restart this service in some cases. We have an issue with a server that spikes high CPU in the backup window and as the server is properly provisioned the rest of the time they do not want to increase CPUs. My boss asked me if it is possible to do the opposite of the normal process alert. Only alert in the backup window if the offending process is not over a certain %. In other words exempt the alert if rba.exe is above 40%. Does anyone know how or if there is a way to do this?
