Upgrading the MIB Database

Hello,

I am planning to upgrade the MIB database on the SolarWInds platform. I will need to update it on the core NPM server and nine additional polling engines. It is the first time I have done it and I am reasonably comfortable with the process. My question is, does there need to be downtime for the platform at all while the new MIBs are being installed?

I don't know if downtime will be required just to update the MIBs - it may require a brief outage as services restart. To be 100% sure I'd reach out to support and ask.

FWIW, we always plan our upgrades for out of hours and raise blackouts, etc - any MIB update is applied as part of the upgrade.

Yes there will be a small outage as the services need to be restarted. Here's the info
