Can we monitor APIs link from going to external party with Orion? to be aware if link is down.

Hi there,

We are full stack shop of all SolarWinds products such as Orion, SAM, NPM etc. All good.

Now we are facing issues with external parties that, API links connecting from our Data center to their servers are down or not stable, we are realizing only when external party complaints.

Can we monitor these API links if it is UP, down, performance and reliability etc.

OS and Application in discussion is SUSE Linux and SAP Applications APIs.

Hello,

In short, yes. You can monitor the path to the API endpoints to show reachability, packet loss, and latency using NPMs Net Path. SAMs API poller can monitor the response from the API.

If you have access to the remote OS and Applications you can also montior those for a multitude of metrics and performance counters.
