Queries from Client
Smart22
Every time we install SolarWinds, the agent in the target machine needs to restart the server. Clients want to escape this process because most of their servers are critical.
Agent Communication ports with Orion Server are (135,445). But when I want to discover a targeted server (Client server) this communication is done by Dynamic port. In this regard the client wants a static (Single) port number which will communicate between SolarWinds Orion and the targeted server.
If the client is using agentless communication and discovering basic information (Like CPU, RAM, Disk usage and NIC information) which ports need to be opened in the firewall for Both Windows and Linux System (WMI and SNMP) which is located between SolarWinds Orion and the target machine..
How and where the SolarWinds Administrative credentials are stored. Is it in plain text or in encrypted mode? Client is using PAM solution (Thycotic) is it possible to use PAM credential vault to access and do administrative work at Orion server.
