Creating a new view in menu bar showing a single custom group

Hi Guys,

Go easy with me as i'm just starting to delve into learning custom maps and views etc side of Orion.

I have created a custom group for our physical UCS blades and this has a dynamic query that adds in new members automatically. I click on that group and it's fine and gives me various charts on the status availability etc fine.

I created a new view  for them which i want to add into the menu bar. I added the view into the menu bar, which is obviously empty at start. 

I can only add all groups view by widget into and not my new custom ucs blades group?. 

Tried all nodes widget and running the following SWQL query, which works fine in the studio but says

Custom SWQL filter is incorrectly formatted.

This is the query:

SELECT Name;
FROM Orion.Groups;
WHERE Name='UCS Blades Thur'

Also where is the best most in depth lab/video for starting with maps and working with automatic connections etc to learn from?.

@bully79, the query posted as is in the All Nodes widget will not work, that filter is not designed to have an entire query placed in it, it essentially is only designed to have your WHERE statement in there, without the word WHERE. Honestly, you should be looking more at View Limitations than trying to add those filters. A View Limitation will allow you to define a criteria to display on that page and then the page will only show objects that meet that criteria. In your case you could create a view limitation on the group you want to display and then all widgets will only show data related to that group.
