We recently suffered an outage on a Cisco WS-C3850-48T-E where due to using the max number of routes, a memory leak bug was activated. This was fixed with a firmware upgrade, but I'm left with trying to build out an alert that would trigger at 90% routes utilization. At this point, though it may be machinetype dependent, I have a static max route capability of 7168. What I can't seem to figure out or find is an OID or some NPM pulled value that tells me the number of routes in the routing table. Also, this is a switch stack with two virtual switches. Has anyone already done this or identified other alertable symptoms of route saturation that addresses this use case?
