I was reading the following document that discusses the aspects of WinRM versus RPC/DCOM protocols in SAM polling:

Questions:
1. What, if anything happens when one upgrades to SAM 2020.2.x with existing monitored applications? Does the fetching method switch to WinRM, or does it only happen if the template/application is edited or when a new application is configured?
2. What changes might be seen in large application monitoring environments RE: Orion server performance and scalability?
3. What other benefits can be expected from the preferred use of WinRM?
