Ruggedcom Serial Numbers

Has anyone been able to get the Ruggedcom serial numbers?

I have done an SNMP walk and not been able to find it but wondering if anyone else has had success or method to get the serial number discover maybe from CLI or other means? It would be really useful to have a concrete waying of comparing the solarwinds inventory to are non-polled asset inventory. Hostname to asset name comparison doesn't work very well for us.

Is the Ruggedcom MIB does not support inventory from NCM?

If the Ruggedcom support that then you can get that report..

If you have NCM so you can modify the backup template to support the cli command that will get hardware serial..

Here a template that I used to track hardware from juniper devices

Is it possible to show the serial number in a report if we collect it through this method?

I am wondering where this serial number output would get stored in Solarwinds. Inside the configuration backup file?

Also wondering how to access it.

The CLI access doesn't have a command that only outputs the serial number but is found inside of this file that can be printed:

The serial number is also part of the main configuration file that can be backed up I just don't know how to get the s/n into something that can be reported on and outside of the configuration file.

Thank you very much for introducing me to a Widget I hadn't used before. NCM search is definitely a useful addition to the toolbox! I can easily search it for a serial number and find the device which has it in the configuration and it was a lot faster than I had expected as well. The only issue I see with the solutions you presented is that I don't think any of these methods will allow me to get it into a Solarwinds report. Ultimately I would like to be able to output a report from Solarwinds that contains Cisco and Ruggedcom devices, their serial numbers, hostnames and than be able to do a comparison with our non NMS asset database.

Again thank you for the solutions you already provided they will definitely be of use but please let me know if you got any idea how it could be included in the Solarwinds report.
