Help - Alert for disk space on NetworkDisks (NFS) that are shared across ESXi Hosts

First off, I own SAM, but I do not own SRM or VMAN. I use basic VMware Polling against vCenter, with SNMP polling on each ESXi host in order to see the NetworkDisks (NFS datastores).

I need some help crafting a low disk space alert for NFS Network Disks that are connected to and shared with several ESXi Hosts. My issue is not so much crafting the alert, but crafting the alert so it doesn't trigger a low disk space alert for each ESXi host that is connected to the same shared network disk. All the Network Disks are shared across the hosts, reporting the same usage.

I could create the alert against a single ESXi host, but I have to think there's a better way. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Now this is a fun challenge! Like you said, low disk space alert should be no problem, the problem it feels like you are running into is "distinct" alerts.

So here is my question: are your data stores named the same across all of your hosts?

What does the output of

Yes, all datastores are named exactly the same across all the hosts. The output is the same across hosts- all volume usage is exactly the same. See below for an example

Here's my thought. Build a new volume alert and select Custom SWQL Alert as the type. Select "Volume" as the entity type.

Have it look like this:
