False volume alert

Hi all,

the server is down and i'm still receiving false alerte on volume.

What can i do to fix this problem ?

Here are my thoughts on this alert definition:

1. It is not necessary to have a sub group as all of your statements are AND, so you could simplify this definition in to a single group
2. I prefer for Volume alerts to use the Critical Threshold is equal to Yes
   1. For this you then use the global Critical threshold and for those volumes that the global value is not correct, edit the Volume properties and override this global value
3. On the first Group yellow line you have the \/ which if you click it will give the you SWQL query
   1. This is useful to run independently to identify the results that are returned and the structure of the query to see if the GUI structure is creating the correct and required underlying query

Having said this, you should not have generated an alert for a server that is down. I suggest you simplify and test the queries, both before and after to see if you get different results.
