I know this has been covered a few times and it is very hard to predict NTA Sizing. But I'm about to put the storage request in based on a small number of devices + interfaces I have been collection Netflow for the last 20 days.
In a evaluation Window of 20 days, using 3 routers configured with 9 interfaces to send NetFlow. The DB is only 3.5GB and Flows Per second are:
5mins =7196, 24 hours = 6200 & 3 days = 6622
Using the above with the predicted total NetFlow managed devices being, 71 routers and 103 interfaces. Using all of the calculations from NTA requirements and Thwack I have found. I have calculated 800GB for the SolarwindsFlowStorage DB.
Could any one give any real life environment DB sizes with device and interface count, including any vast differences from their original calculation to what they have seen.
