Hello everybody,
i'm just wondering how to create a backup of the ARM so that i can quickly restore it in case of failure.
I have installed the ARM on a virtual machine (ARM server).
The data collected by the ARM is stored on a SQL server running on another virtual machine (SQL server).
In my understanding, the system critical files are all stored on the SQL server.
Only the program and configuration files are stored on the ARM server.
Therefore, regular backups of the ARM server would not be necessary. A backup would only be necessary if changes were made to the configuration, right?
The SQL server, on the other hand, would have to be backed up regularly in order to be able to restore the most up-to-date status of the collected system data (Exchange, file server, Active Directory) in the event of a failure.
Are my thoughts correct?
Or does the ARM server also have to be backed up regularly (e.g. daily) to get the system up and running again?
Best regards
Jonas
