Monitoring SQL server 2005

Our SQL team would like to be alerted on sever different SQL issues but I can't seem to setup APM they way they want.

For example they wan't to be alerted if "Full Scan / Sec > 1000" but in AMP the only alerting option I have is "response time"

Can someone point me in the right direction to setup alerts not based on response time? Do I need custom pollers?

Are these updated SQL Server templates included with the latest copy of APM (4.2)?

Yes. APM 4.2 includes the updated MSSQL application template.

you can edit this alert if you have the "SolarWinds Application Monitor" Licence (SAM).

All Settings > (PRODUCT SPECIFIC SETTINGS) SAM Settings > (APPLICATION MONITORS) Manage Application Monitors > (APPLICATION MONITOR TEMPLATES) AppInsight for SQL ... you can Edit this template and setup your Full Scan / Sec:
