Bulk removal of discovered drives

I messed up when using Network Discovery and imported the drive where we keep our Page File on (Z:\)

Opened a support ticket and they wanted me to do it via the GUI one at a time. (There are over 350 nodes)

I can see the drives in the DiscoveredVolumes table of the database. I was going to simply delete them there but wasn't sure if that would break any functionality.

Does anyone have any thoughts on how to go about doing this?

@plavelle123, take a look at Delete Unneeded Volumes from the content exchange. It's the perfect use case for what you are looking at. You'll just need to update the SWQL query within the script to scope out the desired volumes to delete. If you need help with the query just post back here and it can get worked out pretty quickly.

To get the volume list, you can run a SQL query similar to:

SELECT * FROM [dbo].[Volumes]
where Caption LIKE '%Cached Memory%'
or Caption LIKE '%Memory buffers%'
or Caption LIKE '%Shared memory%'

You can use 'VolumeType' as a query filter also. After you review the list, use the same filter(s) to run the delete statement:

DELETE FROM [dbo].[Volumes]
where Caption LIKE '%Cached Memory%'
or Caption LIKE '%Memory buffers%'
or Caption LIKE '%Shared memory%'

PS..Make sure you have a DB backup
