I would like to politely request that DEV add the following features:
FOR ANY node, even if it isn't Cisco, allow the addition of Custom Node Pollers tot he Child Status. Example: I have some APC backup power units. I poll for various items in the APC such as temp of battery, on battery, battery needs replacing. I would like to add those as "interface type" equals to the interfaces child status. That way, the status shows the warning/Critical status as an additional Icon "chip" like and interface being down.
In the basic Node Summary page (I have one that is customized for our uses) CHANGE THE NODE COLOR to Yellow and/or RED for the various status' that may happen. If the alert is for a battery on an APC (see above), the Node Name will change color to the user defined status for that problem. RED=Down; Yellow=child iten ON THE DEVICE has a problem Green= Normal for everything being monitored.
I understand the "icon chips" but I cannot get the "chips" to work for any CUSTOM items that UDnP is polling.
I really don't care if it works in Maps or not. We don't use Maps for anything like that.
Please work on this.
