Why is this thing yellow?!?

So, I frequently see nodes or devices or other items that have a little, blinking yellow pip, and I frequently cannot figure out what Solarwinds thinks the problem is. There's nothing under that node that's warning, drives, memory, ram, applications... all fine. No active alerts. etc. Is there a way to get Orion to actually tell me what it actually thinks the problem is?

Hi there, 

Is it a virtual device? If so it may be telling you there there is an active VMWare alarm firing. SolarWinds can only get a "IsActive" value for this, but not the information about the alert so it's a little awkward to troubleshoot in the platform itself. 

If this IS the case, to resolve you'll have to change the alarm settings in VMWare.
