Capture Node Custom Properties in a Script Argument

Hello

Is there a way to capture custom properties value already updated on a node in a script template as a variable

I tried and failed. I have a Custom Properties "Z_ResponsibleTeam" updated on the node. I wanted to see whether i can use the property in a script. Any suggestion how we can do that?

This is definitely possible, worst-case scenario you could put a block of script in to pull the data from solarwinds

eg

## Solarwinds Query Base

##Prep and connect
import-module SwisPowerShell

$swis = Connect-Swis -Hostname $hostname -UserName $username -Password $password

##pull cisco PIDs in use from SLW
$query = "select DISTINCT n.HardwareHealthInfos.Model from orion.nodes n where n.Vendor = 'Cisco' and %' and n.HardwareHealthInfos.Model is not null"
$PIDs = Get-SwisData $swis "$query"
$PIDs

I don't recommend that though. Looking at your screenshot you're using one of the linux script monitors, which I'm not so familiar with

This resolves correctly for the powershell one. Probably works for linux too

Macros in the formats listed here (.custom. is rather unintuative) https://thwack.solarwinds.com/product-forums/server-application-monitor-sam/f/forum/11856/sam-script-component-monitors---everything-you-need-to-know will work in the body or in the args if referenced like my screenshot there
