Monitoring ISDN interface (Serial) for number of concurrent calls

Not sure if this is proper place for this...

We are monitoring Cisco 4451's with T1 / ISDN / PRI in them so monitoring Serial interfaces. I'm not the guy who knows this stuff but trying to assist the guy who dies as he is not familiar with this.

I'd like to be able to monitor the number of concurrent calls not each channel being in use or not.

Is there a way to do this and what is required?

Don't have the voip monitoring tool just the basics NPM, etc.

We don't have these devices but after a quick search I found two SNMP tables that might be of interest to you:

isdnBearerTable: 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.20.1.2.1
cpmDS1ActiveDS0s 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.19.1.1.9.1.3

You will want to test between the CLI and SNMP and check that the numbers do add up correctly.

We only have NPM and our SW guy says he cannot get this setup. Would we need something other than NPM to do this or is this a standard SNMP sort of thing. Again appreciate your help but i'm the voice guy trying to get some historicall usage on the Serial interface.

@vern67, you can monitor individual OID's in NPM with Universal Device Pollers (UnDP).
