Hi Team!
I'm new to solarwinds, (2months) but would love to stay ahead of monitoring.
Hence is there a way to monitor F1 link when it's down on solarwinds?
I"m not sure what F1 link is but Solarwinds is all about monitoring links and more! Just add the device which has this link connected into Solarwinds and select the interface you wish to monitor as well. Then configure alerting for interface down, and you'll get an email when an interface goes down. Hope that helps.
Thanks for your response, Well, the F1 link is the midhaul and couldn’t monitor or get an alert when it’s down unlike the rest of the interfaces, I can see alerts for the rest of the interfaces and nodes but just won’t alert when the midhaul which is the F1 link and that is a critical thing to get on.
@oyesdeen777, could you leverage a trap receipt? have the device that hosts the F1 Link send a trap to SolarWinds when the interface goes down and have SolarWinds alert on that?
