Node Status is Down but we can Ping the device Sometime

Hi folk,

Here is my issue Description:

--Firewall Node status is showings Down, but sometime we can ping it from the orion server

--When we manually poll the the device from the node console, it comes up and again goes to Down

--Most of the time the Node status description is shown Packet loss issue

--How packet loss contribute Node down availability ?

--How Response time contribute Down Avaiability ? 

Kindly enlighten me !

Is the device overloaded, are you just monitoring via ping and not SNMP?
