Full System Cloning including database

Is there a tool or method to completely clone(Ghost) SolarWinds and import it into another system, the licensing is something I have covered.

I simply want to create a system for one network, build the dashboards, groups, templates etc and mirror that to another environment.

I understand devices and servers will be different, but wondered if it would be possible

Also does the DB need to be on the same server as the MON server?

Hi there, 

Cloning a SolarWinds system is as simple as taking a database back-up and restoring it to a new SQL server. All the nodes, alerts, dashboards, everything is stored on the DB. The application servers in fact don't store anything to do with the running of SolarWinds, and are simply just dumb services that read and write to the DB. 

I would basically follow the instructions for migrating to a new server (with different IP and Hostname) and just leave the old servers running: https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/orionplatform/content/migrate_solarwinds_to_a_new_server_with_a_new_ip_and_hostname.htm
