Do API pollers respect Mutes in your environments?

Hi All,

I dont think Mute interacts with API pollers at all. Is this intentional, and global or just me?

They do seem to be silence-able with Unmanage, but dont inherit the status from the parent object. Odd.

The connection between Components/Applications/Nodes is easier to understand, much as I like API pollers.

Yeah, just ran into this now...  Much like many features by SolarWinds, it's a fantastic idea that is not well thought out.  This company does not have good attention to detail.  They roll out features without testing how the user would need to use them in a real world environment.  How are we supposed to Mute the API Pollers?  Why don't they at least respect the Node's muted status?  Why in the world can we not Mute the API Pollers themselves?  How was this not built into the product before it was released to the public?  Unmanage has been a feature of SolarWinds forever now and Mute has been a feature for a long time now as well. 

As much as I love the Orion product, it seems like they never release a feature now without at least a couple major oversights like this.  There are examples everywhere throughout nearly every new feature they've released in the last 5 or 6 years, probably longer.  They need a management team with very high standards and a culture of discipline about the usability of their products because it is getting beyond frustrating at this point.  Nearly every day I use SolarWinds is a day that I say "Why doesn't it do this already??" or "Why do I need to put in a feature request for this?  It should already be in the product!"

And I'm not saying this to be mean, I'm just venting really.  But it's true.  They really really really need a better culture of discipline around product usability on new features.  Hopefully merging everything into this SolarWinds platform will help.  We'll see.
