Monitor MPLS Circuit Latency and Reporting

Hello!

I'm newbie Solarwinds and seeking expert advice for my requirement. I'd like to monitor MPLS circuit latency (to upstream service provider) and IPSec tunnel to branch offices. For polling, SNMPv3 uses and NPM version is 2020.2.6. Appreciate that if you can guide me how to achieve this.

 A bunch depends on the specifics of your infrastructure. Can be easy, probably hard.

Examples:

Latency:

- Netpath from something in the network core to some service provider node (allowing information to not be dropped at your firewall (in NPM)

- IPSLA from core switch to some service provider node using VNQM

- Ping something upstream as ICMP node in NPM

Tunnels:

- Monitor the security device, add all accounts, hope it's visible in the L2tunnels section in NPM (recommend getting real specific with your network/security person here around alerting rules)

- IPSLA from core switch to something on other end of each relevant tunnel using VNQM

- Some custom thing for weird security devices with a SAM script or an NPM custompoller
