How do I have my own Dashboard for NTA if my ID is part of a Windows AD group?

I have an Admin level ID but we use Windows AD groups to login to Orion with the modules. I want to create a dashboard for NTA to highlight selected sites but it looks like if I customize the DASHBOARDS menu it changes it for everyone that uses our AD group. Is there a way to just have my own dashboard without resorting to a local Orion account?

@witrick, sorry your post went unanswered. Each account structure that is set within accounts has its own settings, and for Group Accounts this does include all members in the group. If an individual account is set up using AD as well, the settings for the individual account take precedence.

You being the Admin, most likely will want a separate (individual) account. Where the remaining group members will receive the same access, menu's ect.

From the Top Menu goto 'Settings' - All Settings - find the 'Customize Navigation & Look' section, and within click the link, 'Customize Menu Bars'

These are all the menu bars that can be used within each profile. Create a new one, maybe NTA Admin, or an overall Admin menu bar to be used for your account once you create an individual account for yourself and any other admin. If you set the group to use one NTA Menu Bar and your account to use a different NTA Menu Bar, only your menu bar will change as you create NTA views. Then you can update each group Menu Bar with the links they need.

The same concept can be used for any user already having access via AD Group who needs elevated access in general or within any of the installed apps with extra rights options (NCM, SAM, IPAM, ARM) or key features like the Performance Analyzer or Recommendations.

Well I appreciate your information about the user/admin accounts. Unfortunate I have to send such negative remarks to get any update. I've been a Solarwinds Admin for many years (off and on) and was involved in Thwack years back where it seemed the community was more active. I browsed recent posts and notice the same thing, lots of folks posting questions, lots of views but no answers or replies. I'd rather get answers here vs. having to start a tech support ticket for everything.

I am happy you got some useful help, eventually. Sorry I was on a couple of days of holiday. I did see it after your update, but I did not see the comment until I opened the thread. I think any update would have brought it up to the top where I saw it, and I do understand the frustration in a specific time of need.
