How do i send syslog messages to a node details page widget.

I am trying to add this syslog widget but nothing ever shows, i know maybe i did a wrong command on my switch ? since i am fairly new at this, i only added this command to my switch 

"snmp-server enable traps syslog"  am i doing this right ? if someone has a working syslog widget can you guide me on how to set it up please?

For Cisco devices you need to use the command "logging host x.x.x.x". Once you can see syslog messages appearing in Syslogs (under Alerts & Activity menu), then they should also appear on the device view.

But if they are not appearing in the device view, then use the details that I posted in this thread.
