Can I enter my own AssetID information into Entity_Physical?

I'm looking for a way to get AssetID information on a per Switch Stack Member basis. I see that there is an AssetID field in the table EntityPhysical but my attempts to update this field have been met with "Operation not supported". It doesn't look like this info is polled by NPM or NCM and I'd like a nice and clean way of reporting on this. UnDPs seem messy. Anyone know how to update this info, if it'll break should we force this using SQL, or any easier way I'm missing?

Are you trying to get serial numbers for your stackmembers? There is the table Orion.NPM.SwitchStackMember that contains these. You will have to make sure you have the swtichstack poller applied to all the devices you want this to work on.

Nope. I'm trying to put asset tags into the system. Serial numbers show up just fine. The asset tags are only pulled from the node that's in Orion and not from the members in the stack.
