Hi all,
i need to check if currently solarwinds support to monitor SD-Wan Vmanage. i have a requirement from user to have this monitoring in Solarwinds. please advise if there is any possible way to make it happen.
Thanks.
You can add it via SNMP and see what we can monitor but more than likely you will need to use a universal device poller.
do we need to have SAM module installed? or just NPM is enough?
and if there is any guide in thwack or in solarwinds documentation?
Hi there,
SolarWinds are currently working on full SD-WAN support, and you can read more about what is currently available here: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/resources/b/product-blog/posts/sd-wan-what-we-do-now
Basically, the overview is that SD-WAN devices aren't inherently incompatible, and if their MIBs are already included you can already get through all of the CPU, Memory, Interface, etc. metrics that you can get from other nodes.
Right now, specific SD-WAN metrics however are only support for certain types of devices and in certain modules.

NPM is enough. SAM is for application monitoring.
