Greetings everyone. I am the ultimate newbie on here. I have used Cacti before and it worked reasonably well but we wanted more granularity and more monitoring. I have been playing around with Orion with NTA and NPM. Right now I am trying to figure out how to make semi interactive bar or line graphs of network utlization on specific interfaces. I have found a nice report but I can't easily change the date range to check history, nor can I zoom in from a week to a day or out to a month.
I think what I am looking for is a widget on a dashboard, but so far all I can find are charts that show full site bandwidth or ALL interfaces. I would like to put two or three interfaces per graph. I will probably have a large page of graphs or several pages, but this will give me a quick summary of bandwidth, without having to rely on alamrs to warn me... which I will use, but want to be able to just check current and historical status.
I have been watching videos from the online training and although they are kinda long winded for what I need, they have been helpful. I just don't know where to look for what I am trying to do. If you can tell me what it is called, I can search and watch videos, but so far this Orion is HUGE and has a LOT, much or which I either won't use or will set up later.
