Orion FreePoller - SNMP polling capability ?

Hi team,

Can anyone here please confirm if the Free Poller (Solarwinds Orion), can do the SNMP and WMI polling capability without additional license?

Also, what is LA and SCM mean in Supported products column.

@itengineer, short answer no it cannot. What is defined as a free poller on the page you reference is only available with the purchase of the products in the "Supported Products" column and will only have the capabilities to poll the metrics that those modules poll.

Based on my understanding, my Main Polling engines is licensed with 3000 SAM Allowed Number of Component Monitors.

So if I deploy additional 2x Free Polling Engines in two remote data center locations to distribute the load, I still cannot perform SNMP polling from the 2x Free Polling engines?

If you have SAM with component based licensing you DON'T have free polling engines. You only get free Polling engines if you have SAM with Server based licensing. The free SAM Polling Engine is for SAM based monitoring only.

"Normal" Polling engines can be stacked. Meaning you can add several Polling Engine licenses to the same windows server thus being able to poll more elements from that windows server.

AFAIK, the I do not have the Additional Polling Engine (APE) licenses when I check under "Admin > Details > License Details", however, I can see one polling engines is active and running under "Admin > Details > Polling Engines", while the new additional one I deployed yesterday was failed ?
