We have setup NPM to receive SNMP traps from monitoring devices. When a matched trap is received, an alert will be triggered and the triggered action is to send in SolarWinds SNMP trap format to upper manager. The devices will send out the devices' alarm and their corresponding cleared events.
Our problem is when a device's alarm and its cleared event happened in a very short period, say within 2 seconds, the upper manager will receive the events in reversed order.
e.g Link down alarm then a Link Up event of the device will be received in upper manager in Link up event then Link down event if the two events occurred in a short period.
May I know if there is any way in NPM to ensure the traps are processed and corresponding events to upper manager in the order of delivery from the monitoring devices ?
