IPAM IP Address Question

Greetings! We have the IPAM module in Orion but it is not really utilized for DHCP/IP address management items. Right now IP tracking across all of our different DHCP scopes is done manually via Excel or in a list on SharePoint. If someone requests an IP address it is a manual process to get the IP and assign to the node.

Can IPAM help us with this? I know it is a broad question but looking to get pointed in a direction to see if we can use IPAM for our DHCP/IP scope management.

Hi Dave, IPAM can definitely help you with this, many of our clients have come to IPAM from a similar scenario. We also have a workflow in IPAM for requesting IP addresses, and a way for admins to process these. I would recommend you start with our documentation here: IPAM Administrator Guide (solarwinds.com)

Thank you! We are in the process of migrating DHCP servers as well and have some interesting items come up. I will dig into this and if I have any additional questions Will let you know.
