Override/Disable Thresholds on specific volumes using the SDK

I have added a bunch of nodes into SolarWinds through the discovery and basically allowed all types of volumes to be monitored.  On the majority of the unix/linux devices and network devices the shared memory volume and cached memory volumes were added.  Both of these are always at 100% so they make the Nodes go critical.  I have tried removing the volumes but the status of the node never changes.  I found that i need to override the threshold for each volume, and uncheck the warning and critical thresholds before the node goes back to normal and then i can remove those volumes.  Is there a way to override the warning and critical threshold for each of the shared and cached memory volumes with automation, before removing them using the SDK?

Let me see if I'm understanding correctly:

• You (erroneously) are monitoring cached and shared volumes on Linux machines (which are almost always going to be at or near 100% usage).
• You 'delete' those volumes from monitoring (uncheck them from "List Resources" or delete via the API)
• The nodes are still showing in a warning/critical state?

If the above is correct then I think that this is a bug (or you haven't allowed for sufficient time for the device to be rediscovered/re-polled).

Tweaking thresholds for devices that are running the default is non-trivial in the API.  I think it can be done, but it's not easy.  The better solution would be to not monitor those particular 'volumes' and then you won't have to worry about editing the thresholds.  Just my 2 cents.
