Has Anyone been able to discover Cisco Nexus 9000 in NPM?

I have configured SNMP on my Cisco Nexus switches but NPM is not able to discover them.

I have reviewed the list of supported devices and cannot see Nexus 9000 in the list. Is it that this version does not support that device model or I am missing out commands in my parameters.

I will appreciate any help I can get to be able to monitor Cisco Nexus 9000.

No issues here. Most of my network is N9Ks.

Did you configure the SNMP user by putting in "snmp-server user X network-operator auth sha "key" priv aes-128 "key" "? I've found if you just try to copy the hash and deploy it everywhere then it doesn't work.

When discovering, are you using the "Network Discovery" tool or are you using the "add node" under manage nodes? Regardless you should make sure to use SNMPv3 and the appropriate auth/priv settings.

Thanks for replying. This is exactly the command I ran and it is still present on the switch. I initially configured only V3 but added community string for v2 when v3 wasn't working but the result is the same.

SolarWinds server is able to ping it it just cannot discover it whether I used the Network Discovery or I use the Add Node option.

I will greatly appreciate any help you can give.

The only other thing I can think of is make sure you switches are up to date code wise and firewalls. We've been successful with 7.0.3.I7 and mostly migrated to 9.3.7(a). Is there a firewall that is blocking SNMP? I'd try to do an snmpwalk to the switch in question to confirm that works.

Thanks for the response.

I will confirm the switch code and probably do a bug scrub on it for SNMP.

There is no firewall between one of the switch and NMS, they are on the same management subnet but I am still not able to discover it.

I will try the SNMPWalk as suggested and give feedback on all my findings.

I am having the same issue with ASA as well.
