What is the best process practice to configure the alerting on SAM AppInsight for Active Directory?
And how can we perform the SQL Server Monitoring with SAM?
Please advise me on this.

Alerting for SAM generally is done either on the component level OR the Application level, but not both as this can cause duplicate alerts being fired.
When you create the alert, you can select 'Application' or 'Component' in the dropdown menu for 'I want to alert on:', then the most common triggers would be:
Component/Application status: Both of these elements have Up, Down, Warning, Critical and other statuses that are important, and this is how you would alert on them:
Component Specific values: Some components return specific values, you can alert on this too, but a recommendation would be to use the alert scope to limit to a specific type of component:
